Identify the vehicle and original suspension
Send the vehicle make, model, production year, engine, drivetrain and chassis code if known. Include the OE reference from the original part when available, front or rear axle, and left or right side where applicable. State whether the original suspension is conventional, electronically controlled, air-assisted or self-leveling. Do not assume a conventional damper can replace an electronic or self-leveling unit because the pictures look similar.
Confirm exactly what is supplied
Specify whether you need a bare shock absorber, a strut or a complete assembly. Confirm the mounting arrangement and whether springs, top mounts, bearings, boots or bump stops are included or must be reused. Clear photos of the original label and upper/lower mountings, plus a drawing or measured dimensions, help clarify the request; appearance or dimensions alone do not prove the correct damping specification.
Prepare a useful quotation request
Provide the OE reference if available, vehicle details, installation position, requested components, quantity and destination market.
